Breakfast Seminar: Operakällaren Foundation and WaterAid

The seminar highlighted the challenges faced by the country's most vulnerable areas, where the lack of clean water particularly affects women and girls.

Among the speakers were international figures such as Jan Eliasson, former Deputy Secretary-General of the UN, and Ola Rosling, co-founder of Gapminder. They emphasized the importance of clean water as a fundamental right and a prerequisite for sustainable development. Through collaboration, businesses, organizations, and communities can contribute to tangible improvements for thousands of people.

Ongoing Projects in Tanzania

An ongoing project in the Hanang district of Tanzania was presented, where access to clean water and sanitation aims to improve the health and school attendance for children, especially girls. This project exemplifies how collaboration can create lasting change.

For over a decade, Operakällaren Foundation has supported UNICEF, contributing millions of kronor to water and sanitation projects in East Africa. Since 2018, the foundation has collaborated with WaterAid to expand its support to more life-changing projects.
