Welcome to the crayfish party in "Emanuel's cottage"

Kräftskiva - the traditional Swedish feast - has changed shape over the centuries but has continued to unite generations. From the royal feast of the 16th century, through the bourgeois "kräftsupen" of the 19th century, to the 1930s when the expression kräftskiva was coined and spread from the upper classes to the whole population.

Soon we'll be standing there - in August, when the evenings start to get cooler - watching gardens, cottages and patios fill up with hats and brandy, while schnapps songs echo across the neighborhoods.

We invite you to a crayfish party at “Emanuel’s Cottage”– Operakällaren. The setting may be grand, but the experience is inspired by our culinary director’s childhood memories of crayfish parties in the countryside outside Örebro. We’re serving up an evening of Swedish crayfish, classic sides, and Stenborgare in our glasses. An evening where the shells fly, the focus is on family and Swedish cultural heritage—and where the “Dream Cart” is rolled out for a touch of decadence.

The evening features snaps songs, live performances, and unexpected surprises.
